Lights up on a little boy standing in front of a calendar picks up the pen on a string next to it and crosses off day number 2 of October. he goes and sits on his bed with a humph and pouts.

He pouts for a beat.

I wish Halloween would come sooner, or Halloween all the time! yeah that would be awesome!
The wind howls and trees clacking on the side of the house or a window can be heard. The boy jumps but recuperates and shakes his head embarrassed with himself.
Little boy
Oh, haha, just the wind...
The wind howls again and the trees clack. The lights dim indicating the power has gone out. The boy is scared and gets under the covers, head and eyes just peering out.
Little boy
I'll be safe under here...
Low gutteral growling can be heard from inside his closet. the little boy whimpers.
Little boy
its nothing...
His closet door creeks all the way open and reveals two red eyes peering through the darkeness, the thing roars and the boy screams lights black out.
